Tritec Marine supervise LNG carrier build for new client

Tritec Marine has announced to begun the supervision of a Liquefied Natural Gas carrier construction project in South Korea for a major new client.

Hyundai Glovis, the logistics arm of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group, has entered the LNG transportation business with the construction of the 174,000m³, dual-fuel carrier.

Recently Tritec were present in Mokpo, South Korea, for the ceremonial steel cutting, before the construction project begins in earnest.

As well as on-site supervision at the yard, led by Nino Prpa, Project Manager, Tritec will also provide project support from its in-house engineering team based in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Nino said: “We are very proud to support Hyundai Glovis with this important newbuild construction, marking their venture into LNG transportation.

“We will do our utmost to ensure that the vessel is built safely to the highest standards demanded by both Tritec and our clients.”
